Make Appointments with Yourself

Make Appointments with Yourself
-
Leaders make “appointments” with
themselves.
-
Leaders find a way to get to those
important but not urgent items.
-
Leaders work their plans, rather
than plan their work.
-
Leaders make time for the important
things.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT…
“Time is the scarcest resource and
unless it is managed nothing else can be managed.”--
Peter F. Drucker
-
Did you ever think about those
meetings that you attend?
-
You block out time for each meeting,
right?
-
Whether the subject of that meeting
is your top priority or not, you are there.
-
You prepare for it. You focus on
the subject.
-
You can’t take phone
calls, you are not interrupted by
others.
-
You have committed that hour to
someone else’s priority.
-
Why can’t you do that for yourself?
SO, WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?
“You will never find time for
anything. If you want time you must make it” .--
Charles Buxton
-
Make appointments with yourself.
-
Plan for it. Prepare for it. Block
out the time.
-
Then, during your “appointment,”
don’t take phone calls.
-
Avoid interruptions.
-
Focus on your work.
-
You be amazed at the progress you
will make!
PARTING THOUGHT…
“Every morning you are handed 24
golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you
get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you
couldn't buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless
treasure?”-- Anonymous
Have fun making those appointments!
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Marsha
