We Cannot Change Anything Until We Accept It

….by Marsha D. Egan, CPCU, ACC

"We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses."
-C. G. Jung

Leaders know themselves
They accept who they are
They know their strengths and weaknesses
They maximize strengths
And work to improve weaknesses

10 SECOND REALITY CHECK
Do you know your strengths?
How have you maximized them in achieving your goals?
Have you admitted areas that might benefit from improvement?
What have you done to change?

"People only see what they are prepared to see."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

The better we know ourselves, the better we can function
No one is perfect
It's silly to try to be...
But then again, there's nothing wrong with seeking continuous improvement
That's what leaders do!

"Man is the only creature that refuses to be what he is."
-Albert Camus

SO WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

Be honest with yourself about your strengths and weaknesses
Seek feedback from people close to you if you are unsure
Make a plan to maximize your strengths
And work to change that about you that you want to improve
But most of all, love yourself for who you are...
Unconditionally

"I wish they would only take me as I am."
-Vincent Van Gogh

Double the use of your strengths this week!
And... Happy Thanksgiving!

Marsha
