Thoughts
with the election such recent history...
It's time to heal.
That's what leaders do.
They heal themselves.
Then they help heal others.
"Of one thing I am certain, the body is not the measure of healing -
peace is the measure." --George Melton
Funny how words of yesterday
can be so appropriate:
"America's present need is not heroics, but healing; not nostrums
but normalcy; not revolution, but restoration." --Warren G. Harding
It's time for our country to heal
As a leader, it's a great opportunity
To help it shine.
"America's greatest strength, and its greatest weakness, is our
belief in second chances, our belief that we can always start over,
that things can be made better."
--Anthony Walton
Let's make us better.
All of us.
We can do it!
"Americans are overreachers; overreaching is the most admirable of
the many American excesses." --George F. Will
America won this week.
More people voted than ever.
They voted their convictions.
They waited in lines for hours,
Caring that their vote counted.
And tho' half were sorely disappointed the next day Yes, America
won!
I'm proud, aren't you?
Marsha
PS. "Americans never quit." -Gen'l Douglas Macarthur
