Leaders have courage
But what IS courage, really?
It's understanding your fears
And moving forward despite them.
"Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage
unless you're scared." --Eddie Rickenbacker
10 SECOND REALITY CHECK
Are you honest with yourself about your fears?
Do you allow yourself to acknowledge them?
Do you let fear stop your progress?
"Courage is being scared to death - but saddling up anyway." --John
Wayne
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Fear signals you to be cautious
Fear can alert you to be diligent; to assess the situation
Ignoring your fears can get you in trouble
Running from them can hold you back
"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of
fear." --Mark Twain
SO WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?
Pay attention to your fears
Assess the situation clearly
Then decide your course of action
That's what leaders do...
"Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others."
--Robert Louis Stevenson
OH, ANOTHER THOUGHT...
Courage is not only physical
It could be that our greatest opportunities for courage are in
facing our moral fears...
"It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the
world and moral courage so rare." --Mark Twain
Have a courageous week!
Marsha
