"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in
overalls and looks like work." --Thomas A. Edison
-Leaders create their own opportunities
-They accomplish great results that others notice
-And
they're not afraid of work.
"Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises."
--Demosthenes
10 SECOND REALITY CHECK
-Remember the last time opportunity found YOU?
-What were you doing? What results had you achieved?
-Were you working or waiting?
"You have to recognize when the right place and the right time fuse
and take advantage of that opportunity. There are plenty of
opportunities out there. You can't sit back and wait."
--Ellen Metcalf
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
-People recognize ability and like to help those who work hard
-Opportunities can be made, rather than had -Diligence will help you
see opportunity when others don't
"A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds."
--Sir Francis Bacon
SO WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?
-Do your best, you never know who's watching
-Be
vigilant about recognizing opportunities
-Then
seize them!
INTERESTING POINT:
The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis.' One
brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. So, even
in a crisis, be aware of the danger - but recognize the opportunity.
Enjoy those overalls!
